Meet our staff

Richard Mandair ACA
Managing Partner

Richard qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1996 and after gaining valuable experience in a local firm of Accountants, Mandair & Co was set up in 1999. Richard has a wealth of experience in advising clients in general practice, in all aspects of their business to include Taxation, Compliance and regulatory matters affecting their business.

Richard has grown the business from his early days practicing on his own to now working with a dedicated team of 15.

Outside of work Richard enjoys a variety of sports including football and table tennis.

Audrey Sawdon FCA

Audrey qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983 in London and has worked in both small enterprises and general practice. She often assists clients with their computerized accounting systems, the production of management accounts and general business management issues.

She enjoys looking at the overall situation of a client and assisting them to plan their long-term business and tax issues. She is experienced in preparing accounts and dealing with both tax compliance and some tax planning for a wide range of small business entities, including limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, charities and trust and individuals.

Audrey also has a wide range of experience in all aspects of income tax, corporation tax and VAT.

Peter Clay FCA

Peter qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984 with a Winchester firm and has a wealth of experience advising clients in a general practice and enjoys providing expertise to his clients. He has a wide knowledge of regulatory matters affecting businesses.

He has been involved in the preparation of accounts for all sizes and types of business throughout his career, including limited companies partnerships, sole traders and charities.

Peter also has a wide range of experience in all aspects of income tax, corporation tax and VAT and has successfully concluded various complex tax investigations.

One of his specialist areas is the antiques trade.

Ayesha Pearce

Ayesha joined the team in April 2013.

She started working as an apprentice and has now gained a broad range of experiences in practice and now looks after a range of clients.

During her apprenticeship she gained her Level 3 NVQ in business administration and she is now working towards her AAT qualifications.

Ayesha’s experience includes working on monthly payroll, CIS, VAT, limited company and sole trader financial statements.

Danny Rumsey

Danny has successfully completed his AAT Level 4 and is now working towards getting his ACCA qualification.

He is enthusiastic about assisting clients with all of their accounting matters. He has been dealing with the Bookkeeping and VAT matters for a range of clients and preparing accounts for many types of small business.

Danny is now also dealing with the tax compliance work for individual clients and is dealing directly with clients to answer their queries.

Imran Sumra

Imran joined the practice in May 2015 after previously gaining experience with another local accountancy practice.

Having graduated in Accountancy with Business he is now working towards becoming a Chartered Accountant with ACCA.

Imran manages a wide range of clients and his main duties include accounts preparation, bookkeeping and VAT services.

In his spare time Imran enjoys both playing and watching football and golf.

Melissa Widgery

Melissa joined the team in September 2014.

Melissa’s main responsibilities include preparation of VAT Returns, Completion of Year End Accounts for both Sole Traders and Limited Companies.

Her qualifications include AAT Level 3 and Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration.

Diana Sefton

Following a career in Nursing and Midwifery Diana then decided on a career change and has worked as a Bookkeeper for the past 8 years.

She joined the team in March 2016 as an Accounts Assistant.

Diana works part time doing Bookkeeping for VAT Returns and Year End Accounts.

She has recently completed the AAT qualification.

Nazifa Choudhury

Nazifa joined the team in September 2016 as an apprentice.

Her main duties include administrative tasks and the preparation of Year End Accounts.

Nazifa is currently working towards her AAT Level 3 and Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration.

Helen Smith Ba (Hons) MAAT

Helen has recently joined the team as one of our account managers.

Helen is currently in the final stages of her ACCA training and will soon be a chartered certified accountant. She has a varied skill set ranging from payroll and personal taxation to limited company accounts and all things in between.

Helen has a young daughter and a mischievous puppy named Bella to keep her busy and enjoys being outdoors and going to the gym.

Tawny Rider

Tawny joined the team in September 2014 as a Personal Assistant and Receptionist and has played a key role ever since.

Tawny is the first point of contact at Mandair & Co and has a variety of duties that include reception, administrative and assisting the accounts team and also acting as a PA to Richard. Her Qualifications include Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration.

Katrina Brydon

Katrina joined the team in June 2016, her key role is receptionist and Personal Assistant to Richard.

Katrina also covers a number of other duties in the office such as Bookkeeping, Scanning and preparing accounts.

Annemarie Marshall

Annemarie has been with the practice since 2005, she previously worked for the Inland Revenue for over 20 years.

As a Taxations Specialist she has a vast knowledge in all aspects of Tax including Self-Assessment, Capital Gains Tax, Foreign Income, Rentals, Residency and Seafarers.

Jacqui Milan

Jacqui has been with the practice since 2001.

She has carried out a variety of duties in her time here, such as Receptionist/Administrator, Accounts Administrator and now Payroll Manager.

As Payroll Manager Jacqui is responsible for the smooth running of all the clients’ payroll requirements and auto enrolment.

Marie Howells

Marie comes from a HR and Payroll background formerly within the NHS and more recently in a roofing company.

Marie handles the processing of payroll on a day to day basis and assists with general administration duties within the office.

Marie has a grown-up son and daughter and a young granddaughter who keeps her busy, along with her husband and Patterjack, Lexie. She loves walking, gardening and reading in her spare time.

Kym Ritchie

Kym joined the team in May 2017 as Accounts Assistant and is qualified to AAT Level 3.

She is responsible for preparation of VAT Returns and Year End Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships & Limited Companies.

Kym has a lively happy young son, she loves cooking and a bit of retail therapy.
